Government of India's Green Hydrogen Policy: A Step in the Right Direction, but Challenges Remain

After a long wait of close to a year, the Government of India has finally announced its green hydrogen policy incentives. The policy includes $2 billion in financial incentives for domestic electrolyzer manufacturing and green hydrogen production through the SIGHT program, $180 million in incentives for pilot projects in emerging end-use sectors, $50 million for research and development in the form of public-private partnerships through the SHIP program, and $48 million for other aspects of the program.
